In my youth most villages in GUYANA was built as a close community. Every one knew each other and it was a safe environment in which the grocery shop, the school, church & village office were close to the homes. In this black & white drawing I tried to depict such a feeling although there are no humans in the composition. Leyton.

Home in the community were always built close to each other and any Government office. i should also all the grocery shop. i this way we knew each other and there was no danger to be expected.
